Create marketing that is trusted, remarkable, unmistakable and essential

We’re months past the winter holidays and sellers have a great chance to think about what we’ve learned, now that the dust has settled. Each holiday shopping season is an intense, focused study in what motivates customers to buy and brings many opportunities for improvement. Looking back, it would be too easy to think that […]

Evans’ comments came a day after Jeter said Miami was yet to decide whether to trade Stanton.

Tuukka Rask has rediscovered his game and the Boston Bruins are starting to become the type of team they want to be in front of him — one that’s tough defensively.

I say “should” because the refs ended up blowing the play dead for no damn reason at all, stopping the play before Fowler could get in the end zone.

“He’s obviously passionate about winning, he’s passionate about the game and really presented himself extremely well,” Evans said. “He had a lot of questions for us and I thought our meeting went well. But again it’s a tough decision for him. He may take a lot of time before he’s ready to make that call.”

On Wednesday, Giants general manager Bobby Evans confirmed on San Francisco’s flagship radio station, KNBR, that the club reached agreement on a potential trade for Stanton after team executives gathered with the outfielder and his representatives in “a good meeting” last week.

San Francisco, which won World Series titles in 2010, ’12 and ’14, is coming off a surprising last-place finish in the NL West at 64-98 to avoid the club’s first 100-loss season since 1985.

Apple, 22, has been the subject of much discussion this season. One source told ESPN that he is disliked within the organization. Another source described him as “being in the doghouse.” That makes sense, given that he has been shelved the past four weeks and has started only seven games this season.

The Giants have been in no rush for Apple to return, despite starting Ross Cockrell and Brandon Dixon at cornerback, with Rodgers-Cromartie playing the slot.

“He’s cool with me because I understand. I used to be that guy. You feel me?” Rodgers-Cromartie said. “When you’re going through stuff, sometimes you don’t know how to act out, so you act a certain way. I get that. It takes someone to hone in and make you feel loved.mariners_749

Mirotic, Portis lead way, Bulls blow out Celtics 108-85

Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis are starting to draw attention for their play together instead of their fight with each other.

Mirotic scored 24 points, Portis added a career-high 23 and the Chicago Bulls blew out Boston 108-85 on Monday night with Celtics star Kyrie Irving sidelined because of a bruised left quadriceps.

“I still feel for Fizz, and what he, unfortunately, had to go through here. That’s my brother, and you want him to have a fair shot at it,” Spoelstra said, adding: “He’s going to get another opportunity.”

“Yo, Snowflakes. Quit preaching,” he tweeted Tuesday. “The Violent World of Sam Huff sold NFL football to the masses. The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders gave us a little sex with our violence. Deal with it!”

Violence in the game has been a hot topic for several years now with the new information on the long-term effects of concussions and the pain-killer addiction much of the NFL has dealt with for years, but it became a particularly hot topic after Monday night’s game between the Steelers and the Bengals.

In the game, Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier suffered a spinal injury, after which he could not feel his lower extremities, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster took out Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict with a brutal block, and Bengals safety George Iloka was called for unnecessary roughness on a hit to the head of Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Beyond his production, Sutton’s size is impressive to NFL scouts.

Sutton in the 2017 regular season recorded 62 catches for 1,017 yards and 12 touchdowns, bringing his college career total to 189 catches for 3,152 yards and 31 touchdowns.

ESPN has learned that the warrant to seize records and money was issued by federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of New York. Officials there declined to comment, citing office policy against confirming or denying the existence of an investigation.

ESPN has learned that two pools, blue and red, were each capped at close to 10,000 entries with a cost of $100 per entry. Those filled up so quickly that a second-chance pool was created, sources said, at $200 apiece. A high-roller survivor pool was also offered at $500 per entry. Another pool, which started midway through the season, was a second-half pool and cost $100 per entry.

Toronto led by 17-2 four minutes into the first quarter, but couldn’t shake the Kings until the third when DeRozan repeatedly got into the lane and to the free throw line. He also made two late baskets in the fourth after Sacramento pulled to 90-83.

DeRozan shot 9 of 15 and was 7 of 11 on free throws while going over the 12,000-point mark for his career. He went into the day six points shy of the milestone.

Donald Trump is tweeting about Marshawn Lynch sitting during the U.S. national anthem

Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.

It’s been 10 years since Sean Taylor died of a gunshot wound that severed his femoral artery at his home in Florida. Today, we remember Taylor as one of the NFL’s most talented safeties, who always played with a viciousness and passion that was unmatched.

Taylor played for Miami Hurricanes teams in the early 2000s that produced loads of NFL talent. Seventeen players from the 2001 team that he was on were drafted in the first-round of the NFL draft from 2002-2006. He then took his swagger from the U, and made an immediate impact with Washington.orioles_005

2018 NFL Draft watch: Marquee matchups help sort out top prospects

Each week during this year’s college football regular season we will highlight some of the top draft-eligible performers from around the country.

Field goal, Carolina. Christian McCaffrey makes a short run and Newton throws an incomplete pass following the near interception. Graham Gano enters and kicks a 40-yard field goal to put the Panthers ahead 3-0.

This spooling system, known as the reel, is at the heart of what makes Skycam fly. The four reels work in tandem to create flight. Each reel is controlled by its own computer, which delivers instructions over the fiber optic computer network from central control. These instructions are executed while safety and response information are sent back to central control on a real-time basis. These components are linked together through a highly sophisticated fiber optic network.”

A day after the Hall released the names of 33 players on the 2018 ballot, Hall of Famer Joe Morgan sent a letter to voters with a list of three criteria he thinks should disqualify future candidates for admission to the shrine.

Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech The junior outside linebacker is projected to go in the first round, and he showed why in a 20-14 win over Pittsburgh. The 6-5, 236 pounder tallied seven sacks (five solo), along with 2 1/2 tackles for loss.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State Barkley made waves by saying after Penn State’s 56-44 win over Nebraska that he plans to play in the team’s bowl game this year, but his performance during the game shows why he could be the No. 1 overall pick. Barkley rushed for 158 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns on the ground, and for good measure, he also caught six passes for 66 yards.

We’re back for the second half in Carolina. The Panthers will start the period with the ball.

Atlanta’s deal with South Korean shortstop Ji-Hwan Bae, which also called for a $300,000 signing bonus, was rejected by MLB because the sides agreed to compensation outside the contract.

The Panthers head into the locker room with a 10-point lead. Newton already has 145 passing yards as well as a touchdown. Carolina has outgained Miami 220-118

Touchdown, Carolina. The Panthers take advantage of Cutler’s mistake and take a 17-7 lead. Newton finds Ed Dickson on a post route for a 7-yard touchdown just before halftime.

He was forced to resign after his 11th season with the Braves and second full year as general manager. He began his time with the Braves in 2006 when he oversaw quantitative analysis and baseball information initiatives.

As for Adams and Chubb, two of the nation’s top running backs, they had a tough go of it. Adams was held to 40 yards on 16 carries in the 41-8 loss to Miami, which remained unbeaten thanks to a suffocating defense led by junior defensive back Jaquan Johnson, junior defensive lineman RJ McIntosh and senior defensive end Trent Harris.

On a day when Chubb passed Bo Jackson for fourth on the SEC’s all-time rushing list, he was limited to 27 yards on 11 carries in a 40-17 loss to Auburn as the top-ranked Bulldogs were upset in a big way.

Sony Michel sprints his way to a 74-yard touchdown to make it an insurmountable 21-0.

Columbus prosecutor Robert S. Tobias told USA Today in an email that he believed Elliott had been violent with his accuser, but didn’t think his office had the evidence to pursue charges:

“I think we’ve made major progress since our last game,” Smart said. “But on the other hand, we haven’t played a game since our last game. You want your on-court results to mirror the progress you’re making off the court and in practice culturally. Sometimes, that doesn’t happen as fast as you want it to. But this is a big year for us to take a big jump on the court in terms of results.”

Said Bamba: “The platform for winning now is as big as can be. We have a really talented team this year. Can’t wait to get out there and show how things have changed since last year.”

“He’s had to deal with more than most people deal with in their entire career,” Rivera said. “Some of it’s happened naturally. Some of it, he’s brought on himself. But he’s tried to be that guy who says, O.K., I can compartmentalize it, and I can do football when I have to do football. It’s what I say to the guys: Be where your feet are. Last week he epitomized that as well as you can.”

So now that story is gone, Newton’s healthy, and the offense is geared to help him take the next step. And the Panthers can turn the page on all this, starting tonight.

And let’s start with the one player to actually change hands in the deal. The 49ers took half-measures this offseason to address the quarterback position, signing Brian Hoyer as a result of his experience playing under new coach Kyle Shanahan before using a third-round pick on C.J. Beathard.

As a white-and-blue sea of players parts, Sony Michel sprints his way to a 74-yard touchdown to make it an insurmountable 21-0.

That’s one of Smart’s strengths, though.

Thielen grew up watching Vikings games on Sundays on the couch with his dad, idolizing the legendary receivers that came through Minneapolis. “You’re watching guys like Cris Carter and Randy Moss and Jake Reed,” Thielen says.

Who envisioned Chris Paul going down with a sore knee after one game and missing several weeks? I expected improvement from Victor Oladipo as one of the main guys in Indiana, but did anyone envision this type of start (25.5 PPG)? Who thought Kawhi Leonard would miss all of the preseason with a mysterious quad injury that would keep him sidelined all of October and possibly longer?

Can Goff (five turnovers) continue avoiding major mistakes and carry the offense should an opposing defense stuff Gurley? If the answer to both questions is yes, the Rams are well on their way to making the playoffs for the first time since 2004.

Contributing to Stafford’s big night (423 yards) was that Pittsburgh’s sack-happy pass rushers (T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree) failed to get home against the elusive QB. Stafford led the league in sacks taken heading into Week 8, but was taken down just twice by the Steelers. Stafford also exposed the vulnerable spots of Pittsburgh’s cover-two defense on big plays in the first half.

It was the first of several times that Smart would take the temperature on Bamba, curious as to how serious he really was about considering the Longhorns. Bamba, who was meticulous about his recruiting, assured Smart that he wasn’t wasting his time. By the fall, when Bamba visited, Smart felt like he had a real shot. He began pouring as much time as he personally could into the recruitment; he had a lot of catching up to do to others who had been recruiting Bamba for longer.

Said Horn, a 20-year coaching veteran with two previous head-coaching stops: “The time that he puts into [building relationships] is very different.”

After the game the players run off the field into the small locker room.

Stat of the Week: Kevin Owens has spent over half–559 of his 1,028 days, to be exact–employed by WWE as the NXT, United States, Intercontinental, or Universal champion.

Al Snow’s weekly advice column, Inside Al’s Head, discussed the tragic events from the Las Vegas shooting this past Sunday.

“It’s absolutely heartbreaking,” said Snow. “It’s so sad that there is nothing any of us can say or do to change this horrific event.”

Bortles hasn’t been great, but he hasn’t had to be, and you can easily argue that circumstance is better for a young quarterback than giving him a bunch of weapons and asking him to win every game. And all this really left me with two thoughts to close out this week.

In Super Bowl XXI, McConkey etched his name into Giants lore with a momentum-shifting 25-yard punt return, a 44-yard reception on a flea-flicker and a fourth quarter coup de grace touchdown catch that is still fondly remembered in franchise history.

Both the NFL and NFLPA argued before the three-judge panel in New Orleans. The NFL is asking the court to throw out the stay that’s put Elliott’s suspension on hold. There will be no decision Monday, but one is expected soon:

“We chose to come to the University of Chicago!” Wilkerson shouts inside the cramped space, voice hoarse from yelling during the game. The players shush each other in anticipation and look to Wilkerson, standing in the middle of the huddle.

The injury to Rodgers is a rerun of the 2013 season, when, in the eighth game of the season, Rodgers broke his left collarbone, also in a key division game the Packers went on to lose.

Snow’s advice to wrestling fans at live events is to be aware.

Bayne Honors Roush Fenway’s First Victory with Darlington Throwback Trevor Bayne’s #6 AdvoCare Ford will sport a familiar scheme when the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) returns to Darlington Raceway for the famed Southern 500. As part of NASCAR’s official throwback weekend, Bayne’s Ford will harken back to the first paint scheme run during Roush Fenway Racing’s first two seasons with NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin.

We’re about halfway through the third quarter in Jacksonville, and Michel just ripped off a 45-yard touchdown run to give Georgia a 28-0 lead. You have to wonder if Smart is going to leave his starters in much longer.

After a week of full practices, Ross has been removed from the pregame injury report. With Tyler Boyd and Cody Core already ruled out this week, it will be interesting to see how Ross’ contribution in Week 8 plays out. As’s Katherine Terrell notes, he should see significant playing time.

The Bills’ formula is remarkably consistent: Win the turnover battle and let Tyrod Taylor do the rest. The Bills’ defense forced three turnovers, gift-wrapping 13 points in a game that wasn’t as one-sided as the final score indicated. Give head coach Sean McDermott and his hard-hitting group credit. Even without two key members of the secondary and recently departed starter Marcell Dareus, who was traded to Jacksonville, the Bills forced turnovers with hard hitting and flying to the ball. Buffalo leads the NFL with a +14 turnover margin and is now 4-0 at home and in great shape for playoff contention at 5-2.

Coupled with Russell Wilson’s 452 passing yards and four scores, it was just the sixth time in NFL history opposing QBs had over 400 passing yards and four or more touchdowns in the same game.
